Full day to visit Gallipoli, historically famous
for being the site of many battles - particularly involving
the Allied Forces including Australians and New Zealanders
during World War I. Return the next morning for the
Dawn Service.
The
Dawn Service is carried out at the new Anzac Commemorative
Site just past Arı Burnu cemetery at Anzac Cove at
05.30. In the morning several hours after the Dawn Service
the Turkish International Service is held at Mehmetcik
Monument at the tip of the peninsula. This is followed by
the French, British, Australian (Lone Pine), Turkish (57th
Regiment Memorial) and New Zealand (Conk Bayiri) ceremonies
at the respective national monuments. The orders of service
for all three ANZAC services are finalised close to the day
to allow for any last minute contingencies.
