Gulet Cruise

5 Night Gulet Cruise

Minimum of 6 persons

Cruise the spectacular tree lined coast of the historic Mediterranean, dropping anchor in fabulous secluded bays and colourful fishing harbours . . .

Enjoy your relaxing journey which carries you to the private beach and baths of Cleopatra - part of the shoreline given to her as a wedding present by Anthony, the eternal fires of Chimaera, and the myriad archaeological remains of ancient civilizations. A highlight of this cruise is an excursion (pay locally) on a small craft through a maze of reeds in the Dalyan Delta.

The delta, with a long, sandy beach at its mouth, is a nature-conservation area, and a refuge for large sea turtles (caretta caretta) and blue crabs. At a bend in the river, high on the cliff face above the fascinating ancient harbour city of Caunos, you can view magnificent tombs which were carved into the rock in the 6th century B.C.

Turkey offers some of the most spectacular sailing waters in the world, with its tiny islets and coves fringed with pine forests and olive groves, and a chance to explore the world’s greatest civilizations. From some of the Turquoise Coast’s unspoilt and sheltered bays, you can see mountain peaks rising to almost 3000 metres above sea level. Fortunately, Turkey’s modern facilities and comfort have not overshadowed her ancient hospitality and slower pace of life.
